The biggest swimming pool in Evansville is tucked away in the scenic woods of Burdette Park. But if you're not up for a swim or its not the right season, there are great places to picnic and hike and shelter houses that you can rent too for a larger gathering. The hiking trails here are beginner and intermediate level. It is also perfect for bike riding through the park too. And the best part about the park, it is free.

Burdette is a great place for the family or anyone who enjoys the outdoors. There is a great trail that stretches from the park to the nearby University (USI) - perfect for running or a long walk. It also has a public swimming pool/water park, additional hiking trails and play-sets for the kids.
