Visit this beautiful Reserve (must pay per person) and take the 10-15 minute walk down to a very private beach just north of Drake's Island. (Bring the bug spray for the walk!)

These walking trails are magical for your health and well being (and about a 30 minute drive). There is a boardwalk through the woods down to the salt marsh and then the Atlantic Ocean. My kids and I frequent the Wells Reserve often. There is a small fee at the entrance. You can take a variety of trails around the fields, woods and ocean. Depending on the season, you may want bug spray. There is often also a story walk set up on one of the trails. The last one incorporated yoga poses throughout the story pages :)

This 1600 acre farm property is located at the Wells Estuarine Reserve and abuts the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge. They have many easy trails and on that leads to the beach on Drake’s Island which is significantly less crowded than Ogunquit beach at all time of the year.
