Visitors flock to Folly Beach for the same things its residents enjoy. You’ll find excellent pier and surf fishing, an enticing variety of restaurants and bars, live music, and some of the best surfing on the east coast. It's a local and tourist destination.

Folly Beach Pier rebuild is ahead of schedule. It may have a “soft open” in late December 2022 for a week or 2 for people to enjoy the new pier & the holidays. Folly Pier has a Restaurant, Pier 101, with an outdoor bar & outdoor tables overlooking the ocean. It has a gift shop & a quarter mile place to walk, one way, enjoying beautiful views over the ocean, enjoying fisherman & dolphins & surfers & others enjoying the view & kindred souls.

Folly Beach is miles long, with swimming, sunbathing, fishing, kites, and volleyball. Chair and umbrella rentals and a shower and bathrooms available at the "Tides Hotel".

Great beach, & town with all amenities, restaurants etc, Be prepared for traffic at prime times & PARKING CAN BE AN ISSUE.. This tends to be a younger crowd.
