The best pizza in East Nashville, by the slice or by the pie. Try the garlic knots and enjoy a local pint. Dine in and take out only, but 5 Points is worth the trip as there are plenty of bars around.
Dine-in or carry-out, this New York-style pizza place provides amazing pizza by the pie or by the slice. Brian recommends: the T-Rex. Emily recommends: the Plain Cheese and garlic knots.
Yass! I'm from NY, and this is the best pizza around, comparable to Manhattan or a real slice (thin). Order the lunch special -OR- just order a couple slices and a beer, a whole pizza is too much. $$

The world famous purveyors of ice cream. Try the Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Brambleberry Crisp, or Savannah Buttermint.
When Jeni's opened people would drive 20+ min across the river & wait in a line coming out of their door. Since adding another location, the line has subsided, but the ice cream tastes just as good.
Jeni's!!! World class ice cream, mind-bogglingly creative flavors. Milk is sourced from only pastured cows (meaning they live like cows should, eating grass!)

Great drinks - Mexican-American cuisine, nice shaded patio and multiple salsas! Give'er a go! I love the Chicken Caesar Salad here, I eat it like a lettuce wrap. It comes with pumpkin seeds!
Feel like margaritas? They've got the best ones. Just get the chips, queso, or something small. Eat Mexican at Las Fiestas, overrated food, but exceptional drinks.
The original Mexican restaurant in East Nashville...great food and even better margaritas. An authentic spin on Mexican in a cool, unique space. Worth a stroll down the road.
