We are repeat guests at Pook's Place, and we're always excited to return. The house, neighborhood, hosts, and location are all great. We'll be returning every year!

The place was clean and spacious. We had a group of 4 and felt right at home. Downtown was less that a 10 minute walk away. Would definitely stay there again!

This was a delightful place to stay as we celebrated our 57th anniversary. Super clean with most comfortable beds and furniture. We spent the weekend trying different restaurants and look forward to coming again.

This place was exactly as listed. The access to the beach made it so easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely return.

This is my second time staying here and it was excellent! I was in town only for a few days and sit was only 3 minute drive to where I needed to go! 10/10 recommend!

Shawn’s place had just what we needed for a few days. There are a lot of places a quick drive away but not too much that is walkable.

This was a very nice place to stay. Only two slightly negative things. Trust your instincts when it comes to the shower nobs(the H is on cold side and C is on hot side). The TV in the living room was messed up for a day and a half, the TV wasn't registering the home button. I would still recommend this place to stay to my family and friends.

Booked this place for a local half Ironman triathlon. it was perfectly located between all the sites I needed to get to afford the event but also close to several restaurants and beach and downtown. exceptionally clean and cozy place, quiet and peaceful. Friendly and extremely responsive host. Will book it again next year when I come back to race. Highly recommend it.

We chose the Tipsy Turtle for our annual family New YEAR beach getaway. This house was our best stay of any beachhouse we've rented. It was exactly as they stated, spacious, well decorated and clean. it felt like home immediately. the grand kids enjoyed every minute. The host and co-host stayed in communications immediately when we asked any questions. This home and the host have ruined us for all other host. We have already booked our next stay and can't wait to go back

This place was amazing! The pool was beautiful and great for our family. We always take our dogs on vacation and the fenced in back yard was awesome. The ping pong table, foosball table and games kept us busy as well. Felt like home away from home. I would definitely come back next time we are Wilmington. Great place for families and dogs.

The townhouse was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed ! The location was amazing and check in was extremely easy !

To begin with, Alex was a great host, the communication and accommodation were fantastic. Responsive to our needs from an early check to a late check out. The house was a wonderful place to stay we had a large group of 12 and everyone had plenty of space. We enjoy the stay and also enjoy the amenities like the pool table, unfortunately we couldn’t use the pool because of the weather but other wise we enjoy our stay.

The host was extremely responsive. Loved the place. Everything in Surf City is super close. Had a great stay. Would rent again!

Booked this super late and Syndy was super fast and super responsive! Easy check-in and cozy place! Close to some great restaurants. Syndy was very kind in letting me check out later than the 10am which was very helpful. Would recommend this place to friends & family and will book again if I’m back in Wilmington. 5 stars!

Our stay was perfect! Even our pups felt like they were on vacation and had a great time!! We very much enjoyed the comfort of the home, a fully stocked kitchen so I could cook some home meals for my son, and chilling out on the back porch under the gazebo while the dogs ran around the back yard. She even left toys and treats for the pups and the home was fully prepared and welcoming for our dogs! We’ve stayed in pet friendly homes before but once arriving weren’t as pet friendly as we would have thought. This one was by far the best!!

Ed’s place was perfect for our quick getaway. His house is just as described. In a nice, quiet neighborhood with views of the sound/intercostal and unique canals. Easy walk (4 min) to the beach and short (5 min) drive to the heart of Surf City and the bridge. Place was clean, comfortable, and had everything you’d need. Ed is very responsive, and a great host. We’d love to return.

Gloria & Kevin’s place was so nice. It has beautiful views of the water, especially from in your private screen porch. The apartment is very large and roomy enough for a family. It has an amazing private beach that was awesome. Gloria & Kevin were great hosts very easy going and responded quickly to any questions we had. It is a great place for some secluded R &R. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable peaceful escape.

The location is walkable to so many shops, restaurants, the pier and the beach. We parked our car and didn’t move it for 5 days. The house was so clean and we felt right at home. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, air fryer, coffee maker, etc. The area was very quiet. There was always plenty of room on the beach. Our kids loved being able to walk to the park and such beautiful scenery along the way. We plan to come back!

Good morning, I want to thank Janet for the stay I had at her house with my family, for all her good information and the ease of entering and enjoying her house.

We stayed 2 nights. We arrived early and Katherine allowed us to check in early. Parking is available in front, but the street was very busy and Katherine made accommodations to park off street. Katherine made us aware of a parade the next day on the night before we left, which prompted us to leave earlier and miss the traffic. EXCELLENT host!

My husband and I loved the cozy cottage by the bay. The view is absolutely breathtaking and it is quiet and private. It was the perfect getaway we needed. Violet is so kind and responsive. She knows all about what’s around in the area. We had everything we needed at the cottage. We didn’t have to bring sheets or towels which was a huge plus. Me and my husband had a great weekend! We checked in Friday and then Saturday drove down to Harkers Island to hop on the ferry to cape lookout where we saw the horses and Cape Lookout lighthouse. Afterwards we grabbed lunch at Fish Hook and then came back to Cedar Island and walked the Lola Road Trail. That night we went to Wild Wills Revenge for the prime rib dinner and it was the best prime rib we’ve had! It’s only 15 minutes from the cottage! If you’re looking for a quiet and slow weekend then this is the place to go. Be surrounded by friendly locals and the beauty of nature.

Shirley's place is always great! The space is just what we need while visiting family at Cherry Point. We needed to adjust the arrival and departure dates - because the home was available, Shirley responded quickly and was able to make the change we needed.
