The July House: Steps From the Lake

You’re invited to come enjoy amazing lake views from this adorable 1920s house! Our family used to live here, and we loved it way too much to sell it. The whole space has since been re-imagined for guests, including two full newly-renovated modern baths. Some interesting original features still remain, such as exposed Cream City brick and a wood burning fireplace. Lake view from living/sitting room and all bedrooms, within walking distance to historic downtown's awesome restaurants and shops.

Enjoy your stay at this cozy cottage just steps away from beautiful Cross Lake. This 3bdr, 1bath house features a 4 seasons porch so you can relax and unwind all year. Our large yard provides you additional space to enjoy the stunning view. From the first weekend of May-Sept 30th, you will also have access to our shared pier. Enjoy swimming, boating, fishing or other nearby activities: skiing, golfing and ziplining. Beach chairs/toys, fire pit, grill, games and folding chairs are also provided.

The Loft at the Butler Place is a beautiful, quiet retreat set in the rural suburb of Sussex, just 30 minutes west of Milwaukee. The home is the 1846 homestead of the William Butler family, making the home older than the State of Wisconsin! The 2019 remodel of the Loft is in sophisticated farmhouse style and pays tribute to the history of the home in its furnishings, up cycled pieces, and beautiful setting. The location is close to the Johnson Park golf course and 5 miles from the beautiful Lake Michigan shore. It is a perfect place to relax, write or escape from the stress of life. In the winter a 4-wheel drive vehicle is necessary to reach the site. Please note: bathroom facilities are a close walk away. Heating from wood stove only.
