Curtis is less than 5 miles. Perfectly nested in a beautiful country setting with pull in driveway with a large area for parking. Plenty of FREE firewood for the firepit for relaxing around a fire in the evening under the stars. Maple Leaf is centrally located 1 hour or less to U.P. attractions. South Manistique Lake which is 2 miles north of cottage. You can access the trails from the south of cottage 300 feet on a scenic trail in the woods about 2 miles turn left or right to find the trails.

Fully equipped kitchen, a great room with stone fireplace, dining area that seats 12 overlooking 200 ft of private lake front, sun/game room for indoor fun, and screened in porch. The home is in an ideal location on the east side of the island to enjoy sunrises, is approximately 7 mi from town, golf course, tennis court, brewery and appx 5 mi from Iron Ore Bay.

On the peaceful south end of the island, you can stroll along the beach to Cable's Bay public beach, or drive 5min to the lighthouse and Iron Ore Bay public beach. The cottage is surrounded by the Beaver Island Dark Sky Sanctuary, one of the best places east of the Mississippi for stargazing. Please note: linen service is NOT included, and ferry or flight to island is needed

The Rhubarbary Ruins - with an outdoor sauna

We have just added an outdoor sauna to this fabulous cabin in the woods behind our house. Although there is only 1 proper bedroom there is a sleeping loft with a queen size bed and window overlooking the hardwood forest. We also have a pull-out couch. Guests have complete privacy and everything provided for a comfortable stay This is a cabin with peaceful relaxation in mind....no loud parties or anything of that nature. Come and enjoy northern Michigan's beauty in all seasons.
