Wow! This place was awesome! Adam communicated so well, the entire space was spotless. Adam clearly pays a great deal attention to detail and it shows in the games in the house to play, the pristine bathroom and shower, the fire pit in the back with wood supplied and the offer of more. We can’t wait to go back!

Perfect place! We would stay again. Cozy and convenient to the places we wanted to visit.

Great stay, we came for the Kentucky Derby and it was close enough to everything while still not being outrageously expensive like everywhere else. Looks just like the pictures, cute and quaint and perfect for two couples. I wish there was more than 1 bathroom but that isn’t anything against the host or house itself - just personal preference that I wish I paid more attention to.

We absolutely loved the house and the setting. It’s in a great location and there were plenty of things to do in the area as well as just hanging out at the house. Colin was a fantastic host, had great suggestions for things to do in the area and left us a wonderful basket upon checkin with lots of goodies. We highly recommend the Shanty House! It’s a charming, unique place with tons of character, great amenities, and as I said, Colin was an engaging generous host readily available for us if we needed. Can’t wait to come back!

This is a rock solid home base for large groups. It's a real, eclectic home -- no dumb cursive neon signs or fake green walls, but instead plenty of plates, glassware, board games, and entertainment. I think the best part about it was the space. Six bedrooms and a dozen beds easily fit in this house, and with the front porch, back deck, hot tub, and yard, there was plenty of space to spread out outside, too. The neighborhood was low-key and convenient. Most of us flew in from coastal cities and were pleased with the walkability of the area, but there was plenty of parking space for those who drove, too. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Can't ask for more. Easy 5 stars.

Highly recommend! Very cute , clean home . We loved the sauna and the hot tub , back yard is a great place to chill . Beds were comfortable, nicely decorated and kitchen was very well equipped- even provided ingredient’s for s’mores :) Nothing bad to say here - Great host , great house couldn’t ask for more .

Nice staycation after a busy few weeks. Everything was beautiful. Our only hiccup was GPS doesn't recognize the address because it's fairly new construction. You may see sugar ants but for this area that's to be expected at certain times of the years. They are harmless just a bit annoying. The backyard was beautiful, serene and very private. The house comfortably holds a family of adults and kids but it would be perfectly suitable for an adult getaway or girl's trip.

This is a great place for a weekend getaway. Small town is sweet with friendly people and some fun attractions. Quick drive to Lexington for bigger city type stuff. The cabin was clean and had everything you need for a weekend trip away. The hot tub is such a nice luxury! The cabins are close together, but it still felt super private! Beautiful location. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

Our stay was very nice and relaxing was not bothered by owner at all he was very responsive when we called but only got automated messages over text which was completely fine for me just wish it would have been stated calling would have been easier for him and myself the place was very clean and everything was all set and ready to go when we arrived overall would most definitely recommend this over a hotel and may be staying here in the future for another trip or on another one of his properties if they are all as good as this one

The Villa met and exceeded expectations! It was much bigger than I had originally thought, which was a pleasant surprise. The hot tub was clean and was a wonderful amenity after a long week of camping. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay for a large group going on the bourbon trail. Check in/out was easy and the place was very clean when we arrived. Make sure to follow their directions as the address itself will bring you to the wrong spot. Highly recommend The Farm Kitchen just down the road for breakfast.

Katie and Michael’s place was amazing my wife and I stayed here doing the bourbon trail . Matched the description and the cabin was beautiful and created a space to just relax and unwind . Would highly recommend!

The air BnB was very clean and had all the amenities a family could ask for, very nice location on a beautiful secluded lot. The hot tub was one of the nicest hot tubs I’ve been in. Slate pool table kept us entertained for hours. Fully stocked kitchen was very nice has everything we need to cook breakfast in the morning. The water pressure was awesome and water got hot quickly! Overall we had a great experience and will be back in the future! I strongly recommend this Airbnb! It comfortably slept 8 people and we had a great time!

Absolutely loved Bourbon Barrel cottages! Beautiful setting out in the rolling hills of Kentucky. Lose to distilleries and restaurants yet out far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Angie was out every day tending to the beautiful landscaping. They even offer fresh eggs on-site. Book this place next time you’re in bourbon country, you won’t be disappointed!

Loved the house, location and looked for the baby goats every time we drove back home. We did not get to enjoy the fire pit or kayaks, but looked out at the lake each morning before we took off for the day. Ate at both of your recommendations (limewater and Kentucky castle) both were fantastic. Appreciate your hospitality, recommendations and your home!

Absolute stunning house. It was great with the group of 14 people we had. Everyone had plenty of space and lots to do. The hosts were very responsive. Would definitely like to come back again.

“If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine”…The Ripple Inn was an awesome cabin with a lot of the amenities of home. That comes in handy when traveling with a little one. Upon arrival check in was super easy, the place was clean, and the hot tub was ready for use. Cell service was spotty but wifi solved that problem. Gas and charcoal grills for outdoor cooking options. Great view pretty much surrounding the property. Host was responsive and very descriptive with directions, check in/out instructions, as well as with suggestions of things to do locally. “Reach out your hand, if your cup be empty” and fill it with some of the sweet nectar being made at one of the near by distilleries.

Had a great time at the house. Very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Bathrooms and kitchen were all well stocked. Quiet neighborhood and extras in the game room were a plus.
