This was our first trip to Spanish Wells. The beauty of the ocean is breathtaking. We own homes on the ocean in Maine and Florida and the view in Spanish Wells easily tops both of those locations. The cottage was nicely decorated and very clean. The view from the cottage was beautiful. Audrey, the neighbor and cottage caretaker was extremely kind and helpful. She quickly responded to our every need. We truly enjoyed our conversations with her. We would 100% return to this rental. Having said that I will tell you that we have travelled the world and stayed at over 100 Airbnb type rentals. The only downsides that we experienced here, which had nothing to do with the accommodations, were with regard to dining options on Spanish Wells. Compared to other vacations we have taken, the dining options are slim. Especially on Sundays. We didn't want to have to cook on vacation and it was tough at times to find open restaurants. 10/10 for the cottage and 5/10 for island dining.

We had a lovely stay at Sonshore Cottage! The house was clean, had a beautiful esthetic, extra beach towels were in the closet for our use, a soft cooler and plenty of ice packs were available for our beach outings, and more! Sarah was also a very responsive host providing us with a lot of local recommendations and help if we had any questions. We will definitely stay at Sonshore Cottage again when we return to Eleuthera!

Shes very sweet and nice, a great deal and good location, and shes very well connected.

We spent a week at Cannon Fire and truly can’t think of any way it could have been improved. The location is special-- it is extremely quiet and directly on the beach, which we usually had all to ourselves. We met the local fishermen who anchor their boats out front and bought fresh conch for dinner. The airport and grocery store are about 15 minutes away, but there is a convince store at the end of the block that stocked a lot of essentials. The kitchen is not large but was very well stocked, including a hot plate, a blender, and a large grill out back. Cannon Fire looked exactly like its photos, and Robert was very helpful and responsive whenever we had any questions. Do yourself a favor and book this place.

The Tree House is a bit of heaven. The view is unsurpassable. You feel as if you are part of the ocean at all times...there it is, RIGHT on your doorstep. The use of wood from the island makes Scott's home unique. Words really fail me. This is my husband and my dream home. It is simple, unintrusive and elegant. The beds are very comfortable. It is spacious, filled with light and loveliness.

Very nice hosts. Always eager to please. If you need anything, just ask. Have them direct you to a nearby convenience store for anything you need, too. Beautiful island and surroundings.

This is a rural island. Think castaway with WiFi/hot shower/kitchen amenities. No night life we could find but that’s ok. Just know you’re going for the solitude and ability to swim in a beautiful calm ocean and, one more thing: June’s house may look like a restaurant, but that’s their private home. She gives you access to all the toys underneath the home, though. I kayaked around the little island and that was fun.

Can’t believe I just stumbled upon this Airbnb. Loved it!! Will definitely be back again. My son and I felt right at home.

My family and I had a wonderful amazing stay at your home. Every day was a beautiful adventure, walking around the island and exploring the beaches and snorkeling. It was serene, rustic, and a breath of fresh air from our busy lives. Glad we brought food as the grocery stores were something to get used to, but it was an adventure, and everybody was so nice. We will for sure come back.

Beautiful spot right next to the sea. We felt very private. There are water shoes that can be used and are helpful to get into the water, as it is all rocks. Josette always replyed very fast to my questions, thankmyou so much for that! We really enjoed this gem.

We had a wonderful stay at Buttonwood with our friends. Beautiful views of both the Caribbean and Atlantic. Golf buggy’s were a hit! The island has so many beautiful beaches to explore - we went to Cocodimamas, Gaulding Cay and Rainbow Beach - you need a car to be able to explore. Tippy’s and Bacchus were fabulous places to eat.

The most incredible week spent in Eleuthera. You can’t describe the beauty that surrounds every part of this island. Every morning felt surreal waking up to the most stunning landscape. The accommodations were exactly as pictured. Everything we needed and a very comfortable bed. You truly feel like you are the only people on an island. You MUST rent a car. You MUST have James take you on a private boat ride where you will see pigs, snorkel, see stingrays, go to remote islands and see turtles. You MUST make reservations and eat at The Front Porch. You MUST eat conch fritters at Daddy Joe’s and walk across the street to the public beach. You MUST take the ferry to Harbor Island and rent a golf cart. Eat at Queen Conch and see the Pink Sand beaches. You MUST dive into the Sapphire Hole and explore Preacher’s Cave. You MUST go to Surfer’s Beach and find the remote surfer shack. You MUST go to Queen’s Bath and explore the landscape (bring walking shoes). You MUST watch the sunrise!

Amazing holiday, Spanish Wells is so laid back and if you can imagine paradise that’s what the beaches are like. Cozy Cottage is lovely, really well furnished and well stocked with kitchen equipment, we barbecued nearly every night. Had lobster a couple of times from Bernard a local fisherman. I would recommend Jody’s place to anyone. Thanks Jody for a truly memorable holiday and for organising a great trip to feed the turtles, swim with pigs and for everything. Claire & Dave

The owners who live on the property are very kind and were available when we needed anything. They also gave us tons of space . The house is large with all amenities. The place does not have a washer and dryer which would have been nice for our long stay with two kids. ( they do state this in the listing). Other than that, it has everything else you would need. The internet was a spotty at times. However maybe to be expected on an island. Great location and good price for the island

If you want to visit Spanish Wells, this is a perfect spot! Recommend renting a golf cart as soon as you get off the gov water taxi. We were just a very short walk from the beautiful beach with the sandbar that you could walk a mile on at low tide. There are several great restaurants on the island, and the locals are SO friendly and helpful. We also took a day trip to Harbor Island, but spent the majority of our time relaxing on Spanish Wells. Comfy, convenient, well appointed, easy to navigate from. You won't be disappointed staying here!

This little house was absolutely perfect…the beach is literally steps from the back door. We had every imaginable thing we needed or didn’t know we needed. Extremely well stocked, like you’re staying with friends. Our family of 5 did just fine with one bathroom , excellent use of space.

Shawne was by far the best Airbnb host I’ve ever had. When we arrived, we discovered there was no running water at Marissa’s place due to a cistern leak. Shawne immediately stepped in, arranging a beautiful alternative accommodation nearby and even organizing transportation for us. Throughout our stay, he was incredibly responsive, offering thoughtful local recommendations and even lending us snorkel gear so we could make the most of our trip. Thanks to Shawne’s proactive support and attention to detail, our experience was wonderful despite the unexpected challenges. We’re so grateful for his dedication and hospitality—he truly went above and beyond to ensure everything worked out for us.

We had a fantastic time. It was very private. View is amazing and snorkeling by the rocks to the east, few hundred feet down the coast. Very remote feel for short drive from airport. We traveled with kids ages 10, 7, 2 The current is really neat location. We took a couple day trips and both times felt we should have stayed around current area. (bugs are bad if no wind, or after sun set. dont do laundry right before you leave because power could go out, paper plates are a must, no dishwasher)

Paul was a fantastic host. I booked for my son. He was very helpful and gave us lots of tips. My son said the property was beautiful.
