Beautiful house for a relaxing, and peaceful time away. Very well equipped and private hot tub. Close to a lovely pub, gorgeous views over the fields. would definitely return.

If you're considering this, just book it! Great place, warm and clean with everything you could need. We felt very welcome, beautiful farm with animals and an orchard. Setting is great, 25 mins to Sheffield but 30 seconds to incredible countryside. If you want a relaxed place to explore the peaks, this ticks all the boxes. Already thinking about returning.

Amazing place! Such a nice Cottage and everything you could possibly need with in it. Really peaceful surroundings, very quiet and private. Dawn and Colin are really friendly & welcoming....They couldn't have been any more helpful. Highly recommend! We will be coming back!

Nice place, lovely location. Well decorated - particularly liked the school desk coffee table. Only issue was the lockbox key, the airbnb code was wrong. But I called Kirsty, She was very helpful and it was sorted very quickly. Great place.

We had a wonderful three night stay. We have stayed in Holmfirth many times but this was the first time in this wonderful, characterful, quirky cottage. It has been renovated to a great standard. The cottage is in a central location but just away from the main hustle and bustle so is very quiet. There is absolutely everything you could need in the cottage (and probably more!). Jean was fantastic with her responses if we had any questions/messages. We will definitely be returning!

The Writers Cottage is everything we could have wanted and more. Heath was such an attentive host, with lots of local knowledge and recommendations for us for our stay. There is so much attention to detail in the Writers Cottage, with no stone left unturned by Heath and what feels like hundreds upon hundreds of books on display and available to read. It’s cosy, beautiful to look at both inside and out and all the mod cons you would need to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Within the Writers Cottage, there’s a comprehensive guest book that’s full of everything you need to know about the local area, recommendations on places to eat and local walks/places to visit. We already can’t wait to return.

Lovely little place with everything we needed. Easily accessible to Holmfirth via the bus at the end of the road. A good sized enclosed garden for our dog, whilst Eleanor and her husband were available for any questions we had. Highly recommend a visit to Cannon Hall country Park, approx 20mins away.

Brown Bread Cottage is a great place to stay for easy access to brilliant walking without using the car! It is situated in a quiet road away from the main tourist hot spots. The garden amenities are very good including a small safe fenced area for the dog to be off lead. We found the house clean and well appointed for 4 guests with a well equipped kitchen. The bedding was pristine! Andre was the perfect host. We hope to return! Thank you Andre

Probably my best Airbnb experience in over 10 years. The house is ideally located—within walking distance of restaurants, pubs, and hiking trails—in a charming village. It’s beautifully decorated, fully equipped, and furnished with taste and comfort. It feels warm and welcoming, thanks also to Heath’s thoughtful attention and proactive communication before and during our stay. The rooms are spacious, stylish, and each has its own private bathroom, with plenty of storage for clothes and belongings. The living area is a large, open space with comfy armchairs by the fire, a dining area, and a cozy TV corner—perfect for unwinding after a day out. The house was spotless on arrival and felt brand new. Heath went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

We had a fab stay at Curlew Cottage. The cottage is really beautiful and spacious, with lots of lovely personal touches and luxurious feeling bedding and towels that you don't often find in an Airbnb. Great attractions nearby, and communication and check in were super easy. would love to stay again!

Lisa was very proactive with communications and even provided milk as we couldn’t get any on route. Beautiful surroundings albeit maybe a little remote for some. Worked well for us as we chose this and only 10 mins to Middlewood Tram P & R

The house is in a great location for exploring Castleton and the many local walks. Inside Jen has ensured that the house is appointed with everything you could need and the attention to detail makes it feel very homely. Would certainly come back.

quaint charming comfortable cottage in a lovely village walking distance to pubs and restaurants and beautiful lake with boathouse converted to a tea room overlooking lake. For us carparking was the only issue we had was trying to find a safe place to park and leave the car on returning to property due to narrow lanes and trying not to obstruct pathways for pedestrians as was busy with cars already parked but it did not spoil the lovely weekend we had there. Everyone you meet were very welcoming and friendly 😊

An absolute BEAUT of a place to stay with everything required for an easy and pleasant few days away from home. I was staying for work reasons but it would also be a PERFECT romantic getaway spot - just lovely! And walking distance to the canal and lovely scenery too...

Had a lovely stay at Gramp’s! Surrounded by beautiful scenery it’s so tranquil and cosy. Would definitely stay here again as it’s a great location for walks 😊
