Wildlife is often visible from the comfort of the wrap around porch. The interior is bright and airy featuring hardwood floors, exposed beams, and vaulted ceilings.

After a day of floating the North Fork River or hiking the Mark Twain National forest, cozy up at The Carter Farmhouse. Nestled on a working cattle farm, you're sure to experience peace & quiet. Built in the late 1940s, The Carter Farmhouse will take you back to the days of milk & cookies at grandma's house. This vintage cottage experience is located approximately one mile from The Twin Bridge Canoe Rental and approximately a twenty four minute drive to the town of West Plains, Missouri.

Our Country Lace Retro Place is a quaint little studio apartment nestled upstairs overlooking our rolling hills of the Ozark’s with abundant Wild Life (which can be scene early in the mornings or late evenings) and foliage ….furnished with a toaster, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and a Nija Flip up air fryer oven. Sleeping space includes a queen bed in the beautifully furnished bedroom, a couch in the living room, and a twin bed in the loft. There is a fully-equipped kitchen. The spacious bathroom has a walk-in shower & washer/dryer.

In the downstairs area is a beautiful living room with smart TV and comfy couch, kitchen, dining area, laundry room, and 1/2 bath. New furniture! 2 parking spaces. Quiet neighbors. Come stay on a family friendly working cattle farm with over 200 acres of beautiful landscape and gorgeous views. Enjoy your coffee/cocktails from the front porch of a turn of the century farmhouse while watching Southern Missouri's abundant wildlife including white tail deer, turkey, and other critters. We are also a pet friendly farm. The rear yard is fenced for the safety of your loved ones. There is a $10 per day per pet fee, which is due upon arrival.
