Amazing cottage! unique and thoughtful! loved it!

We had an absolutely magical stay at this lakeside cottage! The attention to detail in the space was remarkable, with every corner thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it a joy to cook meals, and the wood-burning fireplace added the perfect cozy touch for our winter evenings. The views were breathtaking—each window felt like looking at a postcard, with stunning vistas of the lake and surrounding nature. Laura's hospitality truly stood out; she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. The location is unbeatable. Being just a short drive to Algonquin Park allowed us to enjoy some fantastic hikes with our dog and we loved returning to the peaceful setting of the cottage afterward. This cottage is a gem, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene getaway or a cozy work-from-home option.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage in Lakefield, Ontario. The check-in process was seamless and communication with the host was smooth throughout. The cottage was cozy and well-kept, nestled in a peaceful and quiet setting that made for a truly relaxing getaway. This is a beautiful spot, quite private and spacious! We loved the view from the big windows and porches! I hope we can return some time for another enjoyable vacation.

We spent 4 nights to do some ice fishing. We had 9 people in total and had more than enough room. Everything was spotless and as described in the listing. As a bonus, we had a very successful fishing trip! The property looks like it would be fabulous in the summer as well.

This was our third time staying in 6 months and will not be last, we’ve felt at home and been able to relax and not worry about anything, the space has everything you need to enjoy you’re stay! Thanks for having us!

Words cannot describe how impressed we were with Laughing Moose. The minute I walked in the front door I felt I could live here for ever. The incredible views, the spacious kitchen the stylish little pieces of decor make this place comfortable, relaxing and luxury. Janice pays attention to every little detail to ensure we had a fabulous time! From the selection of quality glasses, crockery and cooking utensils to the games and puzzles ( we completed a full jig saw puzzle between us) we had everything we could possibly need and much more. Even a thoughtful and delicious blueberry pie to welcome us !! We were visiting from Australia and planned this weekend with our two sons and families for a getaway together. It couldn’t have been more perfect and we made such fabulous memories. So much space for all 8 of us plus the 2 dogs! I can’t thank you enough for this special visit! We visited for only a night during the off season, but this place provided a peaceful, quiet getaway at a beautiful location. The lake is easily accessible and the views from the cottage are lovely. We especially appreciated all the things to do at the cottage from billiards to table tennis, board games, and even an axe-throwing game that made a visit during cold, damp weather still feel like a fun getaway. The hot tub appeared nearly new and was very clean.

The trailer had everything we needed for a family vacation. The part of the trailer with the kids bunks was very spacious with a play area and there were toys and games for the kids to play with. The pool at the campground had two lifeguards at all times, which I was very happy with. The campground also had a small Beach with a lot of communal toys to share. Racheal was easy to get in touch with and responded very quickly. We really appreciated that she let us know ahead of time that there was an event at the campground for the kids on the day that we were arriving so that we could be prepared and enjoy it. We did a day trip to the Warsaw caves which I would definitely recommend!

Peter was very quick with his responses and took the time to look up what was near the air bnb. The location was amazing since it was right beside a ski resort and 20 minutes away was the most beautiful skating trail in the forest. The air bnb itself was very nice. We cooked dinner and it had everything we needed and seasoning as well. The only thing would be the TV which we didn’t bring a laptop to connect to, which Peter did communicate to us we needed. It was a very great stay and Peter was ever helpful and kind ! Will come back in the summer for the lake.

Great spot for a relaxing time with the kids. Small beach perfect for very little ones, nice park and basketball all right there. Unit is well equipped and very clean. Thanks for a nice weekend in Bobcaygeon!

Beautiful, clean, spacious, well equipped, has comfy beds and is dog friendly. Make sure to bring coffee, salt and pepper, oil, hand soap, dishwashing detergent, dishwasher pods, paper towel and a hair dryer. We enjoyed the ice rink and outdoor hot tub and some snow shoe paths on the property. It's only a 20 min drive to the Bracebridge forest management centre which has well groomed cross country and snow shoe trails, no charge. We enjoyed our stay.

This townhouse cottage style like residence was absolutely perfect for myself, and my two boys who are in their teenage years. Great access to the beach and the canoe. The only issue was with the public pool, which I thought was a pool located on the premises, but it was located next-door at a resort wasn’t clean, or easy to get into but because we had the beachfront, the pool didn’t matter. For anyone who’s looking to have access to a pool this might not be the best place. Carolyn’s place was absolutely spotless clean. It had everything and more that we could’ve asked for. It was absolutely fantastic. We’re even looking at renting again thank you very much for your hospitality and we had a great experience. Thank you. This was the first time I’ve ever rented an Airbnb and I had such a positive experience thank you.

Cindy und Desmond waren sehr freundliche und proaktive Gastgeber und haben uns einige Tipps und Wanderrouten für die Umgebung geschickt. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet und wirklich gemütlich. Vor allem die Küche hatte alles, was wir zum Kochen vor Ort benötigten. Die Lage am See ist atemberaubend und der Algonquin Nationalpark ist gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Es hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen und wir wären am liebsten noch länger geblieben.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in here. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Our host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making the check-in process smooth. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and would definitely stay here again!

Gary & Mina were excellent hosts. They greeted us for check in and where very accommodating. Any questions we had were quickly answered via the AirBNB app. The house was full of character and had lots of things to do indoors and outdoors. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, utensils and kitchen wares. There was a washer/dryer centrally located which was great for towels and the Weber BBQ was in top notch condition. Water toys well maintained (2 kayaks, 1 paddle board, 1 canoe and 1 paddle boat). Pool and hot tub worked great, which was a must for our cottage getaway.

Leah was very helpful in making sure our stay went seamless. Took care of plowing/snowblowing to make the property accessible to all areas of interest as with going had some awful weather.(Snow with more Snow). lol. Again she was very responsive with questions I had and Informative to the specifics of the area. Cozy spot, great to relax and unwind. Would definitely go again, perhaps a great summertime spot.

We love the lake. We have rented a few different places on the lake over the last 10 years. This cottage is amazing. It’s like we checked into a spa!!! It’s very privet and cozy. The small details of the cottage made my wife very happy, from the bath Salts to the high end towels. The view from the couch of the lake makes you just relax…. We brought up 3 snowmobiles to enjoy the local trails. The main trail is a short ride down the road so we could ride from the cottage. The outdoor lights were so beautiful at night!!! A lot of care has been taken on making its guests feel right at home. We didn’t want to leave!!! I highly recommend this for anyone looking to unplug and relax. We will be back! Simon.

We had a totally wonderful long weekend getaway at Jeff & Karen's cottage. The communication with our hosts was perfect from the time of booking until our checkout. When we arrived, we were thrilled to find that the place was even more beautiful than the pictures. The views overlooking Lazy River, the living room area and the kitchen was our favorite, but everything else was impeccable as well. The beds were comfy, the entire cottage was very clean and we found everything we needed under our hands. What we all loved most about the cottage was its character and the little details that showed that the hosts truly cared about the place. The bedroom colors, living room decorations where all those colors came together in the cushions, ornaments etc. was so clever and elegant. The vinyl collection, the guitar and the board games added a nice touch to our stay. We were also fortunate to do some canoeing in the river to enjoy the tranquility. What more can I say, we'd love to come back soon!

Penny was a great host—responsive, accommodating, and genuinely committed to ensuring a great experience. Despite an unexpected issue with the hot tub, she went above and beyond to make things right, which we truly appreciated. The surroundings were peaceful, and the amenities made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We’d definitely love to come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect retreat!

The cottage was very nice. The grounds are flat and beautiful. Great location. Everything was perfect for my family of 6.
