Wander around the 7 acre bird habitat out the back door (might see our local deer and moose!). Enjoy morning coffee in the private tree swing and a fire pit for those chilly evenings. The Cottage is a delightful retreat in the foothills of the gorgeous Bitterroot Mountains, 2 miles outside of Hamilton, Montana. We are a family of four living the good life on our small working farm and The Cottage is our vacation rental nestled into the center of our property. Complete with it's own driveway and nicely fenced off from the rest of the busy goings on of the barnyard, it is separate from our space, but animal sights and sounds are sometimes a part of the experience.

Majestic mountain views on every side at this quiet cottage. Drive down a long winding lane, to arrive at this peaceful setting in Lost River Valley, home to Idaho’s tallest peaks. It is situated close to Mackay, (approximately 6 miles) and hosts many ATV and hiking trails. Mt Borah trailhead, Idaho’s tallest mountain, is 20 miles up the valley. The reservoir, and rivers are ideal fishing spots. We now have high speed Internet, so this is an excellent place to work remotely.

The queen bed in the main bedroom has a soft mattress. Most people think it's luxurious and cozy. Those who need a firm mattress might not want to choose this cottage. The interstate is just a few minutes away. The small kitchen has a sink, microwave, a one burner stove, small frig, dishes and utensils.

The Uptown House is the perfect home base and Challis is a great starting point to explore the many sites of the Salmon Challis NF, fish the Salmon River, or simply enjoy laid back mountain living. Located at the upper end of Main Street in old town Challis, this 1930’s store front has been converted to a spacious getaway that is close to local restaurants and bars and within minutes of groceries, gas and shopping making it easy to plan your visit.

Country Cottage, farm fresh eggs, 10min to airport

Enjoy the peace of country farmland in this cozy 1-bedroom cottage, with downtown Idaho Falls just ten minutes away. Cook up a few fresh eggs in the kitchen, and you might notice our hens wandering through the backyard flower garden. You can enjoy skiing, hiking and other outdoor fun in the nearby area. Originally a milking shed, the Cottage is full of character! It's best used by two people, but four could fit in with the sofa bed.
