I had an incredible stay at this beautiful house near the lake! The location is absolutely stunning, nestled right in the middle of nature, providing a sense of peace and tranquility that far exceeded my expectations. The photos on Airbnb don't do justice to how calm and beautiful this place truly is. The host (spencer) was exceptionally helpful and responsive, ensuring that everything was in perfect order for our stay. We faced no issues at all, and every little detail was taken care of, making our experience completely stress-free. If you're looking for a serene getaway, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Appreciated being close to town but just a little bit outside. It was a great launching-off place for outdoor adventures.

Kendra is the best airbnb host we’ve had, very helpful with instructions and quick to answer any questions we had, we loved the space and the cabin feeling it had, the views were great! it’s a very good location for snowmobiling, I also really liked how the cabin was decorated, thank you for hosting us!

Great place! We stayed for a snowmobile trip and the cabin is easy to reach the trails from. Super clean cabin and lots of parking for trucks & trailers. We will be back.

What an awesome lodge - These folks have done it right. An exceptional lodge with all the amenities for a wonderful stay. Very well maintained and laid out. We all enjoyed the lodge and highly recommend it. Great place for large groups with plenty of space to sprawl out. BZ the owners and staff who manage it.

The location was well worth the price. A quiet private lake off the main road right in the middle of the UP. Remote and beautiful. The cabin itself was good... right on the lake, dock, row boat, paddle boat, firepit, awesome scenery. WIFI was very good. The few complaints were the same as a couple other reviews. Definitely needs a new mattress and box springs with better support in the main bedroom. The bed is pushed up against the wall in a small space, so the person needs to either try to crawl over the other person or get out the bottom of the bed. The couch needs replaced also. Very saggy and non supportive too. All in all though, the pluses definitely outweigh the few minuses. The property, lake and location are amazing. If they would replace the bed, it would definitely be a 5 star.

It was a great stay with a great house. It felt very comfortable being there. Denyse had everything there that you could possibly need and then some!

We loved our Michigan cabin! It felt like a little home home away from home, with everything we needed- even the wood for the fire pit. Our hosts were very kind & helpful; they even gave us a lot of ideas of fun things to do while we were there. We had a fun & relaxing trip in the UP with their help 😃

We had a great stay at Patrick’s, having a view of his artwork was just a bonus to staying here! I really enjoyed that he was per friendly, so we didn’t have to leave out fur baby behind while exploring and celebrating our new baby to come!

We were in Manistique for a sad occasion and it was so nice to be in Angela’s place during our time. We felt well cared for and comfy during a time of grieving. Thank you so much for the beautiful stay! We’ll definitely be back.

This is a great spot in a cute, quaint Great Lakes town. Although the weather was less than desirable during our stay, the house was only a short walk away from most everything we wanted to get to in town, and the house provided a cozy, quiet comfort that made the trip and our early spring get together worthwhile and fun.

The Puck-O-Chee Cabin at Hovey’s Bear Trap was cozy and stocked with everything we needed for a long weekend getaway away. It had the UP North feel you want in a cabin, was just off Indian Lake and near lots of other hiking and recreation activities. Angie and JD made check-in easy and communicated everything we needed to know well in advance. I would highly recommend any of the Hovey’s Bear Trap cabins for a stay in Manistique.

A hidden getaway with the perfect movie setup for feeling a good mesh between home theater and vacationing! The wrap around couch, stacks of popcorn and plethora of streaming services was exactly what we wanted for a Christmas getaway as a family! The beautiful views captured our attention non-stop, even during the winter! Lastly, we were blessed with snow on the first day that allowed for a snowman build on the beach! I highly recommend the beautiful escape that this lake house offers and look forward to getting more family to join us next trip! Thanks for blessing us with a great trip and wonderful Christmas away from home!

Great cozy place with views of the lake from the hot tub. We really enjoyed our short weekend stay!

When we arrived we were so pleased with the space! It was beautiful and the quality of the home was apparent. The views were spectacular. The area was quite private and secluded; just what we were looking for. The space was perfectly sized and appointed for our group. We were disappointed by the following things, which we shared with the owner bc we couldn’t tell if it was a disrespectful guest, or things that had been overlooked by a cleaner. We discovered a broken plate placed carefully under the other dishes; coffee grinds and water in the coffee maker; and a multitude of dirty dishes, including pans, bowls, glasses, silverware, and plates. Again, this is not necessarily the owners fault, but for the cost, we wanted to be sure they knew how we found things bc we didn’t expect to have to wash all of our dishes before using them! We were careful to follow all checkout rules and leave the space neat and tidy. Can’t beat the beautiful sunsets and views.

We had a great stay, our second in two years. We love the feeling of being out in nature and the sense of privacy. This year our “neighbors” were two bald eagles we saw on the beach every morning while watching the sun rise over Lake Michigan. Some practical things to consider: the nearest grocery store is Jack’s in Manistique. Best to stop there before you arrive, it’s more than a short drive. And, take them seriously when they tell you to arrive during daylight! I wouldn’t want my first drive down the single-track access lane to be in the dark! If I were planning to stay there in the winter, I would check with the management company first to make sure my vehicle was up to it. When we arrived we found the EV charger not working, but we contacted the management company and they worked hard to make it right in less than 24 hours, even though it was a weekend.
