Welcome to Kota Kota, meaning ‘shellfish’ in Maori, (chef Jude is half Maori, half Chinese Malay) is set in a 300 year old building, right on the harbour front of the historic village of Porthleven. From here, Jude works his culinary magic on the best local produce using his signature Asian twist. You must book a table as this place gets pretty busy but for foodies is a definiate must. It is not a place to take children as it is pretty expensive but the food is out of this world based predominately around fish.

Marazion has become the thirteenth community in the UK to be accredited as a ‘Plastic Free Community’ by Surfers Against Sewage. The beach: a walk along our lovely, golden sands is another essential. Lapped by the clear, turquoise waters of Mount’s Bay, a sweeping panorama opens up in front of you from the Lizard to Mousehole. And should you visit the town when a storm is blowing, you will just love the crashing waves that beat our shores that can’t help but make you feel alive. Plus, the beach offers safe, sheltered access to the water for bathing , paddling or other activities. http://www.marazion.info/unmissable-marazion/
