The classic trucker stop restaurant! Recently renovated so it's really clean and nice with a large menu. It can be a bit busy after church on Sundays though!

This park has lake access and is only a 5 minute drive from the house! There is a huge green space for playing games, running dogs and picnics. There are picnic tables and a small sandy swimming beach.

There are a number of places nearby that you can learn the history of the Shubenacadie Canal while taking in beautiful scenery; however not all will show on Google. Lock 4 is close by and includes a public dock. (Fletcher Drive in Fall River).
The Shubenacadie Canal links Halifax Harbour with the Bay of Fundy by way of the Shubenacadie River and Shubenacadie Grand Lake. Begun in 1826, it was not completed until 1861 and was closed in 1871. Currently small craft use the river and lakes, but only one lock is operational. Three of the nine locks have been restored to preserve their unique fusion of British and North American construction techniques.
