Drinks & Nightlife

This hidden away cocktail bar has the best atmosphere and cocktails of all the bars I have visited in Edinburgh. When I moved to just around the corner it was a dangerous game but I'm sure you will enjoy it

Parks & Nature

After a friend who studied here finally convinced me to visit I have never looked back. The gardens take absolutely ages to get around the whole place so I would guess a side (advised near the cafe) and then try not have any agenda and go relax

Food Scene

The market has been open every Sunday from 10am-5pm from 11th September 2011, and trades year round. It's a foodie heaven and hosts the best street food in Edinburgh, so whether you're looking for something special for supper, a continental style lunch, or planning a dinner party - the Stockbridge Market will have some new produce for you to try. How about some olives as an aperitif, quality meat or fish with locally grown vegetables, followed by a selection of French cheeses and nutty brown bread, and finish things off with some traditional crepe suzettes or 'latest craze' macaroons or home baked cakes.....Or local jams, cakes and lots of crafts to take home as pressies!!! Eat, meet, great

Getting Around

By far the easiest way to and from the airport for anyone flying in. The bus is about £1 cheaper and takes a little longer but during the Fringe the traffic can hold up the bus often. The bus networks are also great so I wouldn't recommend bringing or hiring a car as parking can be a pricey nightmare at best
