If you want a night out on Mill, but you're not so sure about the clubs and college bars - this is a good spot for you. Lively, but with a more grown up vibe than it's more obnoxious neighbors. On the weekends there is almost always live music, and it is almost always really good!

This is one botanical garden that is absolutely worth seeing. The garden is lovely, especially during spring, when the wild flowers are blooming.
Make it a date, and have a lovely (though expensive) sunset dinner at Gertrudes in the garden. C'est tres romantique!
Also - check the calendar, there are live performances throughout the cooler months of the year!

The light rail is the best way to get to Downtown Phoenix. The line also runs through Tempe to Downtown Mesa.
