This local Pizza shop is just blocks away. Calzones are thick and cheesy- my favorite. They have a huge menu and they deliver. Try their white pizza or calzones. Best Philly Cheese steak sandwich in all of San Carlos, lake Murray and la Mesa period. Also get the lasagna! BEEF LASAGNA MADE FROM SCRATCH!

Best donuts in San Diego. The closest shop is 15 miles away but it's worth every mile. Only 3 left in San Diego to buy a vanilla cream filled glazed donut. They finally arrived from the Midwest about 10 years ago. Their donuts or so light and fluffy and they are so different from any other donut shop. Calorie count - who cares? It’s sinfully good.

It's all about the food - and it is first rate. The barbecue here is #1 in San Diego. San Diegans who know where to get the best BBQ, and it's here. They are 1 mile away., so take-out works for us. The seating, however, is plentiful, and the restaurant is clean. It's an old-fashioned kind of place, you order what you want, wait for it and then find a seat. At meal times, the line can get long, so expect a wait at lunchtime and around 5:00PM - your wait will be worth it. It's all good, but some favorites are the sliced beef, beef ribs, beef stew, and pea soup.

It is an Asian Fusion Buffet. Such as Chinese cuisine, Seafood, Sushi, Japanese Cuisine and so on... all you can eat in Super China Buffet. They have a huge selection!! Crab legs, clams, mussels etc. plus fruit, a sushi bar and a stir fry type grill where they make it to order after you pick your meat and veggies. The food is very flavorful ( which usually isn't the case at most buffets) and I saw them constantly bringing out more fresh food.

Fun bar, but the food is the star. They have all the bar stuff one would expect at an irish pub; but their menu is truly excellent. The boxties are uh-mazing-in, and I love the corned beef and cabbage. Their mac and cheese options are pretty stellar also.

This park is unlike any other attraction you will visit in California. The animals are mostly rescues, others born into their breeding and re-introduction programs. Enclosures are spacious, clean and natural. This is a great place to spend the day with family, groups, or a couple. You will be impressed with the new tiger attraction. If you arrive around 1-2 PM, it will not be as crowded - the school groups normally leave around 2 PM. The park is still open until five.

This place is my absolute favorite amusement park by far. There are so many different rides, games, and attractions jam packed into one place. The best part is that this place rarely gets crowded so you never have to wait in line! Did i mention it's right on the beach as well. The view is lovely and you can take a stroll afterwards if you wanted to and then come back for more fun! They have great deals, such as a reasonable price for all inclusive wristbands. You’ll love the rides, the beach, the rock climbing wall and zip line!
