The reconstructed Crannog suffered a catastrophic fire in summer 2021. However the museum onshore is still there and the staff specialise in hands on exhibits and bringing the Iron Age to life. So don't let the loss of the reconstruction put you off, this is still a great place to visit!

We are well provided for locally but remember there are only 10,000 people in Highland Perthshire so recently places can struggle for staff and many now close 2 days a week. Check locally to avoid disappointment.
Kevin and Jayne have created a haven for all book lovers. Superb award winning bookshop in old mill. Children's book room. Upstairs gallery has great exhibitions. While away a few hours with coffee and cake, or a soup and sandwich lunch as you explore the books. About 3 minutes walk from the big playpark, so if your children are old enough to cross the road encourage them to join you when they are ready!!

Walk up beside waterfall in Acharn. Great for kids, take a torch or use your phone torch and explore the "cave" half way up on west side. There is a bridge half way up so you can make the walk shorter for young legs. Good play park in Acharn village.

Award winning playpark with swings, slide and climbing frames suitable for most ages. In Victoria Park on Taybridge Terrace. About 3 minutes walk to Watermill Bookshop and Coffee shop. If your children are old enough to cross the road why not encourage them to join you when they are finished!

Path up either side of the Moness Burn to Moness Falls, made famous by Robert Burns when he visited Aberfeldy in 1787 and wrote a poem about it called The Birks of Aberfeldy. It takes about 40 minutes up either side.
