It's hard to recommend this more highly, not only is there a truly excellent bakery but you can eat in or enjoy a coffee and cake or a cooked breakfast out the back. Justifiably popular with locals and tourists alike we particularly love their homity pies and savoury pastries. They bake amazing artisan breads including sour doughs and ryes.

This a beautiful beach great for swimming and surfing. It is an hour and 15 minute drive from the house but it is well worth it! You access the car park through a farm but remember to bring money as there is a charge.

A small, beautiful village with a National Trust trail along a river. If you're feeling adventurous you can hike up a mountain to the old copper mines but be careful- we've got lost there. You can also get delicious food and ice cream.
