Authentic Indian. I know, I know, they're all "authentic". You won't find butter chicken on this menu, however, and everything I've ever eaten here has been delicious. You can walk one kilometre through the park to get there, or drive around the corner like a Canberran would.

Widely accepted as the best Turkish restaurant in Canberra. It's normally chaotic inside, but don't be shy. Walk in and you'll see a table to your right. You will need to grab a paper bag or box and write your order and your name on it and then hand it to one of the guys on the right-hand end of the counter. You can hang around inside with everyone else until they call out your name.

Highly reliable Italian food. Everything is cooked to perfection. I usually call ahead and grab my order to take away, but it's also rather nice inside if you want to dine in. They have another restaurant in nearby Manuka with a different menu if you're after more choice, just note parking can be an issue.
