Great small pizza place, or "tavola calda". They close at 8pm, so come here for lunch and have a few slices of pizza, or some pasta. They always seem a bit overworked, but super friendly and the food is worth it.

Delicious dumplings, great choice, always busy, which is a good sign. Closes around 10pm so come early. Cheap and cheerful.

Beautiful market, both in- and outdoor. Plenty of specialty food, also very nice to buy some foodie souvenirs (though make sure your friends like maple!).
Stop over here when headed out to Canal Lachine and stock up on some goodies.
