Food scene

Just a short drive away from our home is this awesome market! Walk inside and you'll find a plethora of food stalls, shops, breweries, and more for you to explore! Head to the bar and you will find tons of local wines, brews, spirits, and even N/A beverages! If you are a vegan (or even if you aren't) Edgewater Public Market has a great vegan food stall! My meat-eating husband craves their vegan Cuban all the time!

El Five, located in the Lower Highlands, is one of our favorite restaurants. If you are looking for excellent service, spectacular views, and delicious Spanish & Eastern Mediterranean food, look no further. If you don't want to drop the money on a fancy meal, I still recommend you go and grab a cocktail just to take in the incredible views of Downtown.

Linger is a sister restaurant to El Five, located just next door in the beloved Lower Highlands neighborhood. Head there for delicious bites, or go to their rooftop for some sweet views and happy-hour treats. This is definitely a popular place, so either get a reservation OR get there just before they open their doors at 5 pm so you can run and grab a seat at the bar or head to the rooftop for a perfect spot! Their menu is filled with street food from all over the world. They are wonderful at customizing plates to suit different dietary restrictions! Make sure to ask your server about the history of the building ;)! It is wild!

Recess has been one of our favorite weekend hang-outs for nearly a decade! You'll find local brews on tap, a friendly atmosphere, and delicious food. Dogs are welcome at Recess every day of the week except for Fridays + Saturdays. It is a great place to nurse a hang-over, day drink, or just let your hair down!

Sightseeing

Red Rocks Amphitheater, what is there to say. It is one of the unique places that bring people from all over the world to Colorado. While it is mostly known for being a music venue, Red Rocks host lots of other events like "Movies on the Rocks" and "Yoga on the Rocks". Even if you aren't able to make it to one of their events, I recommend taking the short drive to see it. If you are an early riser, the sunrise is truly breathtaking. Bring a blanket and a cup of coffee to take it all in :). If you enjoy exercising, tons of people gather there on the weekends to work out! Even if it isn't your thing, or you haven't adjusted to the elevation yet- the people-watching is fantastic and everyone is SO friendly! Head to their website to check out their schedule!

Just a short drive away on 38th is our favorite go-to grocery store. While it doesn't have the name-brands like King Soopers, we have found them to have a better selection of produce!
