This is the oldest White Horse in the UK, circa 3000 years old. The views over Oxfordshire from the here are fantastic. Combine this with a walk along the Ridgeway (which runs over fifty miles from Hertfordshire to Avebury) or simply drop down to The White Horse pub for a pint and something to eat.

This is the oldest White Horse in the UK, circa 3000 years old. The views over Oxfordshire from the here are fantastic. Combine this with a walk along the Ridgeway (which runs over fifty miles from Hertfordshire to Avebury) or simply drop down to The White Horse pub for a pint and something to eat.
Why not walk a section of the Thames path from Lechlade to Tadpole Bridge and end up with lunch or supper at The Trout. Alternately, drive to either and explore smaller sections, returning to gthe pub of your choice.

The is a unique bridlepath that runs for a total of some 5 miles, all of which is through fantastic scenery and often with the best possible vantage points over the surrounding countryside. You can pick off different stretches to suit your mood - depending on how energetic you are feeling !

No introductions required here. This is a fabulous place to visit. All the university colleges, the Ashmoleum and Pitt Rivers museums. If you like shopping there is the fantastic new Westgate shopping centre with a huge John Lewis store and restaurants on the top floor that all have great views over the City. Alternate, why not try punting up the Thames to a put for lunch and continue to try your luck on the way back.
