Chellberg Farm is part of the Indiana Dunes National Park. The Farm includes hiking trails through some scenic terrain, historic farm buildings and equipment, cows, pigs and chickens. It is only 2 miles from downtown and walking distance from the Pool Barn!

How about an old fashioned drive-up, eat in your vehicle, root beer stand? My mom waitressed on rollerskates here in the 50's. Inside and picnic dining too. Try their home-made root beer in a frosted mug. We always get a gallon to share! I've been eating their chili-dogs my entire life. Open spring/summer/fall.

There are many pizza places in Chesterton. We enjoy Duneland Pizza. I (Don) have been loving their supreme since they opened 50 years ago. Owners now in retirement, they are open on weekends only. Duneland is across the street from our Private Downtown Apt and only 2 miles from the Pool Barn.

Beach Gear
If you plan a summer trip to the beach, be sure to bring sandals or flipflops, etc. The sand gets very hot. Bring a large towel, blanket, or beach chair too. And remember the sun screen!
