Before you set out to explore, make sure to pull up your preferred GPS app on your phone while you're in the house still on WiFi as the cell service is spotty in the area (nothing worse than driving the wrong way for a while before getting a good enough connection for maps). Pro-tip is to download a map of most of the surrounding area on Google Maps for example.
