Food is expensive in iceland.

Food is expensive in iceland, the cheapest supermarkets are called Bónus and Krónan and you can find them both in Selfoss, a town situated roughly 30 minutes from here and one which you most likely passed through on your way here

Cheaper alcohol

If you like to have a glass of wine or a cold beer after a day of travelling, we recommend buying alcohol in the duty free store at the airport, as alcohol is quite expensive in Iceland and only sold in special liquor stores (Vínbúðin).
