Georges Méliès, the brilliant pioneer of cinema, ended his days selling toys in a store on the first floor of the station. There is of course nothing more to see but one can dream? It was also there on August 25, 1944 that General de Gaulle was handed the surrender act of the Germans by General Leclerc.
