One block from our unit is the fantastic Lucile's brunch restaurant. Creole themed food, with chefs trained in New Orleans. During warm days enjoy meals and drinks out on the lovely patio. Unique southern libations and meals, such as the “Cajun Breakfast” (red beans, poached eggs, hollandaise and grits) and “Eggs New Orleans” (fried eggplant, poached eggs, creole spice and hollandaise).

155 acre of pleasant grounds including two lakes. Two flower gardens, one of which is a replica of George Washington's gardens at Mount Vernon. Lovely park for runners, or a stroll around the lake. Evening concerts during the summer. Great spaces for picnics.

South Broadway Antique Row area is filled with funky antique and vintage shops on Broadway centered between Louisiana and Mexico Streets. Further north on Broadway (near Broadway and Alameda) is an eclectic mix of neighborhood taverns, vintage clothing stores, unique eateries, bookstores, art galleries, international restaurants, and craft shops. Check out the Odditorium at 1534 South Broadway for a special shopping treat with oddities you have never seen elsewhere!
