This is a charming place, with a unique mix of fishing boats, art shops, and tourist shops. However, our favorite part of this is the Cliff walk, named Marginal way. Stroll along the well maintained walk and take in the beautiful views of the ocean.

Site commemorating the rock formation named "The Old Man of the Mountain". He has fallen off the cliff, but Profile Plaza is a nice set up highlighting this legend of New Hampshire.

Feeling a bit daring? The Mt. Washington Auto Road will have you on the edge of your seats! But as you gaze around you, you will be awed by the beauty. First opening on August 8th, 1861, the 7.6 mile Auto Road is America's oldest man made attraction, taking travelers and visitors to the 6288 ft. summit. Mt. Washington is know for it's wicked weather, and thus is a center of weather science and research. Be sure to check the weather forecast before you go and pack accordingly. Once on the summit, you will have plenty of time to take in the views, purchase a snack or souvenir, and go through the Weather Museum.

Opened in 1868, The Mt. Washington Cog Railroad is known as the first Mountain climbing cog railroad. It is also the only one whose route is entirely built above ground on an elevated trestle system. And it has the claim of being the second steepest railway in the world. Mt. Washington is know for it's wicked weather, and thus is a center of weather science and research.
