Beaches
There are dozens of kilometres of pristine beaches between Ucluelet and Tofino. Be sure to be aware of tides, swell conditions and make sure you leave the beaches better then you find them.
There are waves here year around. Pettinger Point on the North end of the beach is a great vista to get a look at the surf rolling into Cox Bay and Rosie Bay / South Chesterman. There is a muddy (even in the dry Summer), unmarked hike on the South end of the beach. If you google Cox Bay Lookout you will find more info. This hike is about 20 minutes up and is moderately difficult. Be prepared and do your research, but the view is amazing!

There is a muddy (even in the dry Summer), unmarked hike on the South end of the beach. If you google Cox Bay Lookout you will find more info. This hike is about 20 minutes up and is moderately difficult. Be prepared and do your research, but the view is amazing!

The tour operators try and fit in a quick whale watch along the way. If you are boating both ways be advised this is a 6+ hour return trip. The Whale Center and Ocean Outfitters are couple of the companies we would suggest.
