This is a really cool winter activity! Take a private horse led sleigh ride to your dinner in a yurt. They book up months in advance so plan ahead. It costs ~$1,500 in the winter for up to 6 guests and it lasts about 2.5 hours.

Alpino Vino (ski to during the day or snow cat dinner only) is located at the top of the ski resort. Great place to have lunch (reservations highly recommended - need to ski there to make a reservation at 11am). They also have a snow cat dinner in the winter!

Free town loop bus
Hop on the Galloping Goose Bus (it is free). It makes a loop around town. You can ask the bus driver to stop wherever you like on his route, just ask kindly. They will also pick you up in front of the condo if you stand outside on the curb and wave them down before they pass you.

Tips on what to pack
Telluride can get VERY cold at night, even in the summer months. As soon as the sun disappears, it can be quite chilly. Don't forget to pack a sweater or jacket. Very light rain jackets are useful in the summer for hikes because when it rains, it gets very cold (even in summer). Hiking boots are not always necessary as your feet can get hot in the summer. We wear Chacos on some hikes because our feet get wet from rivers/snow melt and we find that they are the perfect versatile shoe (Bridal Vail Falls Hike, Bear Creek hike and sometimes the Jud Weibi hike can all be wet).

We don't have Ubers!
Make sure to book your airport transfer a couple weeks (or at least 1 week) in advance with Telluride Express if you are not driving to Telluride. We do NOT have Ubers. There are 2 websites floating around out there and one of them is not a real website. Make sure to use this one: "letsride" .co

Telluride actually has a no idling law. Make sure to turn your car off if you are sitting outside waiting on someone.
