An hour drive up the lake, Kaslo is a beautiful historic town right on the water with loads of heritage appeal. Great little bistros and restaurants here too. Be sure to hit the Angry Hen for a craft beer flight!

The locals use the old railtrail as a place to ride bikes, go for a trail run, or walk the dog. Terrain is flat but gradually descends as it travels eastward up the lake. You'll go over some beautiful old railway tressels too. Follow the trail down to Throop, a large sandy spit of land that the locals call their favorite beach. Ask me for directions :)
