A more folksy neighborhood that's geared towards locals rather than tourists. Quirky shops, sandwich/taco/pizza joints, and eclectic restaurants. On the Red Line subway route, one stop from Porter Station, which is a 7-9 minute walk from the house.

Park Street Station, 5 stops away, is in the middle of Boston, right at the Boston Common, and also offers connections to other subway lines. Trains usually run every 10 minutes or so.

Right on Mass Ave, across from our street. Excellent and fresh- Americanized Chinese food prepared with care and quality ingredients. On the pricey side. Dim Sum on Sundays. Really nice dine-in experience.
