Local Food Joints

An iconic Montana bar that is popular among both locals and travelers alike. Great place for a beer, live music, and typical bar food. We like to stop here on our way back from a long hike in the park. for dinner and drinks. It's about a 15 minute drive from our place. Note- The Old Saloon is very much an old school Montana establishment. Their COVID protocols may be lacking for some people but in the summertime you can sit outside.

The Murray Bar is our favorite spot in Livingston to grab food and a drink. It is attached to Gil's Goods which provides the food (the pizzas are our favorite in town). The Murray Bar is kid friendly though it can be a bit more loud and lively later in the evening.

Gil's is attached to the Murray Bar. You can sit inside the Murray Bar for drinks and order food from Gil's or you can simply get food from Gil's to go. They have great pizza and their breakfast is top notch as well (check ahead on breakfast as their morning hours have fluctuated due to covid).

Sage Lodge is probably the "fanciest" (and most expensive) place in the area for food. It's a great spot for a special date night or to splurge on good cocktails and steaks. The view from the lodge is spectacular as well.

2nd Street is probably the most "foodie" place in the area with a rotating menu of quality, often local-sourced food. Reservations via their website/email are recommended.
