You will find some walking books in the cottage as well as ordnance survey maps

A lovely coastal village also home to Muncaster Castle. You can drive over Hard Knott pass to Ambleside and Windermere but it’s not for the faint hearted!

Eskdale valley stretching from Gosforth to The foot of Hard Knott pass. Lots of beautiful walks here. It is also where you can catch the La’al Ratty back down to Ravenglass. A lovely coastal village also home to Muncaster Castle. You can drive over Hard Knott pass to Ambleside and Windermere but it’s not for the faint hearted!
