Family Fun

North Beach State Park is by far the most popular destination for visitors to Bear Lake County, Idaho. To get there, head south on Dingle Road through the town of Dingle. The road is paved until you get to the south end of town, then it turns into a very well maintained, graded road. Stay on this road for about 6 miles, turn right on North Beach Road and proceed to the State Park entrance. It is much faster to enter the state park from the east because most people come from the west and the line of cars can get quite long. The entrance fee is $5 per car. We strongly advise you to arrive as early as possible to claim your spot on the beach, especially on weekends and holidays. The beach fills up quickly and park officials will close the gates once it reaches capacity. There is a ramp at the state park for off-loading boats and other watercraft. Prepare to have your watercraft inspected before you are allowed to put it in the water. There are a few picnic tables at the beach but these are taken very quickly by the early birds. Airbnb has marked the wrong location on their map. They have marked East Beach, which is a good alternative if North Beach is full.
