There are 2 small supermarkets, a hardware store, doctors, dentist and a choice of fish & chips, Chinese, Thai and Italian take-aways/restaurants. There is also a bistro/coffee shop at the marina.

The Electric Eel Boat Trips - A waterborne mystery trail by electric boat, along dykes fringed with marshland plants. An experienced guide will show you the wildlife - stunning dragonflies, marsh harriers, wildflowers and swallowtail butterflies can all be seen here at different times of the year. The trip lasts 50 minutes, including a short walk to a bird hide. Booking essential. The boat takes six people and has a roof but the sides are open.
