This is the neighborhood our AirBnB is located. Historically it housed the first retail center in Indianapolis. After some years of neglect after some of our manufacturing jobs moved, Fountain Square over the last 20 years has become a hub for artists, musicians and restaurants.
The area has seen a huge surge of gentrification. This, paired with no historic society dictating how the homes should look, have turned Fountain Square into a neighborhood with some eclectic and unique looking homes in all shapes, sizes and colors.
No other neighborhood has the amount of live music, art shows and congestion of restaurants in Indy!

Cómo moverse
Stick to the Cultural Trail to get around
The Indianapolis Cultural Trail is a large network of bike & running paths that circle downtown Indianapolis & branches out to Fountain Square.
You will see signs indicating you are on the Cultural Trail and will notice the brown pavers as the trail. Simply walk east on Sanders to wards Shelby, take a left towards the middle of Fountain Square and you will run right into it!
Along the Cultural Trail you will find our bike share. Here you can rent a bike and cycle all around Indy.

We have a rapid transit line
In the middle of Fountain Square is our nearest bus stop to ride our rapid transit system, the Red Line. You will notice the all electric green and grey double buses that only run on this line.
Here you can go south to Greenwood (not advised unless you need a mall) or you can take it to the middle of downtown Indianapolis, or keep riding it north to the neighborhood called Broadripple where there are lots of great local restaurants and rows of bars crammed into 2 blocks.
