Sightseeing

A great place for some summer outdoor activity. You can rent boats, paddle boards, jet skis, or just hike or have a picnic at the park. I usually come here when I want to spend some time by the water and relax.

Ski/Snowboard

Great place to rent skis/snowboards near the house. You can also take shuttles from here to go to the mountains if you don't want to drive. It's nice to be able to rest/relax from a long day up in the mountains.

Great place if you're starting to ski or snowboard. The mountain is not so long and there are places to start learning. It's also the cheapest place to ski or get a pass.

A mountain closer to Denver if you're thinking about a one short skiing day. The pass is also less expensive compared to other mountains and you have a variety of slopes here.

Neighborhoods

It's a complete neighborhood with everything you need close to you. It's a great location with access to the three main highways (I-70, I-25, and I-225). You will see a lot of families and a little less noise than if you're in downtown.

This neighborhood is a little more urban with fancy restaurants and where the Cherry Creek mall is. Very nice place to have dinners.

Visit

It's always nice to visit downtown, go to the malls, bars, watch sports game, and walk around. If staying for the entire day, I'd suggest going either taking public transportation or if driving, park in one of the parking garages, usually about $20-30 for the parking.

Consejos para la ciudad

Cómo moverse

Driving is usually the best way to get around

Most places have parking available, besides downtown/cherry creek mall area where parking can get expensive or you may need to park on the street. Although most people have a car, you can still get to most places with the light rail or by bus. In downtown, there's a free shuttle covering the 16th street.
Qué empacar

Denver has a dry weather

I feel that chapsticks and hand creams are necessary in Denver if you're coming from a warmer place. The good thing is that you don't have to worry so much about sweating :)
