Explore the Roman bath house, follow the footpaths along one of the three rivers that meet the sea here. There’s a fabulous coastal walk along the river and across Muncaster castle. Good food available in the village plus the magnificent Ravenglass and Eskdale railway.
There’s a superb 2 hour walk from Ravenglass across Muncaster Fell to the Eskdale Green station - walk both ways or take the train one way, a real favourite.
