Laid back contemporary café in the heart of the boatyard at Gweek (the clue’s in the name!) serving delicious breakfasts, coffee, cake and lunches (think wraps, salads, burgers, stews – and the best chips and sweet potato fries for miles around). Also has a characterful quayside terrace – time your visit with high tide and watch the swans glide by as you sip your coffee.

Award-winning organic dairy farm famous for its ice cream – they make over 40 flavours, as well as sorbets, vegan options etc. The Croust House café / courtyard serves a good mix of hearty homemade food, and often hosts live music, outdoor theatre etc in the summer. They also have a tiny café overlooking the harbour in Coverack, where you can taste a (slightly smaller) selection of ice cream and fresh paninis, salads etc

One of the best restaurants in the area, on the beautiful Trelowarren estate. A real treat for a special occasion or Sunday roast.

New Thai restaurant at Cury Cross Lanes (about 15 mins drive from here). The food is a cut above, they’ve quickly gained a big local following. They also do deliveries for take out – although they don’t come quite this far out, they will meet in the little car park at Traboe cross (a few metres past the Kuggar turning on Goonhilly Downs), which is only around 5 minutes drive from here.

Another characterful local pub serving great food (we really are spoilt for choice). This one is perched above the harbour wall in the beautiful fishing village of Porthleven (about 20 mins drive from here), with great views from the garden in the summer.

Artists studios and café in an old school. Has a really good events programme (arts, film, music, talks, workshops – including some great ones for kids) and the café food is delicious.
