At the Fonte Pequena are a number of poems written by Cándido Guerreiro, a local poet (born in Alte in 1871). A nice place for a countryside walk. Queda do Vigário, a beautiful waterfall formed by the river Alte. This is slightly south of Alte located in a beautiful landscape. The water plunges vertically from sixteen meters down and falls into a small lake. A quiet place to relax.

Ameixial is located in the ' Serra do Caldeirao ' , you can walk well, The beauty of Ameixial is nature - to all sides fanning the paths of the hills. The trails are well marked with beautiful panoramas. Old cafes with typical portuguese food. Nice to be ............. !
