Kotor is one of the many UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Montenegro. After climbing up 1200 meters of the 14th century bulwarks, you are rewarded with captivating view across Boka Bay. The region’s history is well showcased in the Maritime Museum of Montenegro, one of the most comprehensive museums on the Adriatic coast. It is home to numerous sights, such as the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon in the old town (built in 1166), and the ancient walls which stretch for 4.5 km (3 mi) directly above the city. Sveti Djordje and Gospa od Skrpijela islets off the coast of Perast are also among the tourism destinations in the vicinity of Kotor. In recent years, Kotor has seen an increase in tourists, many of them coming by cruise ship. Visitors are attracted by the natural environment of the Gulf of Kotor and by the old town of Kotor.

Catovica Mlini is a former mill transformed into a rustic restaurant in Morinj. Morinj is a small town lies between Kotor and Herceg Novi, long known for its mills that used to grind olives and grains. This beautiful stone establishment is one of Montenegro’s best restaurants surrounded by lush lawns and streams. The tavern offers homemade prosciutto and cheese in oil, a good way to prepare your appetite. Their standout dish is whole fish baked in salt. We personally like their unique liqueur made from figs as digestif. Make sure to call in advance for table reservation
