Neighborhoods

Over-the-Rhine, encompassing the Brewery District and Washington Park, which hosts festivals and markets surrounded by Greek revival and Victorian architecture. Cincinnati’s premiere entertainment district, overflowing with fabulous restaurants, hip bars, breweries, fashionable shops, theatres, and a gorgeous park. But what I especially love about the area is the architecture. OTR is believed to have the largest intact historical architecture in the U.S and is home to a National Historic Landmark, Cincinnati Music Hall, where the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Opera, and Ballet perform. Across the street from gorgeous Music Hall is Washington Park, which is the perfect place to chill out for a day. I love to just people-watch here as locals come to walk their dogs, play sports like kickball, and let their kids run around in the waterpark. The Findlay Market, founded in 1852, is still held in OTR. You can pick up all the deli and ethnic foods your heart desires at the market, as well as flowers and produce. There are plenty of specialty shops featuring unique arts and crafts. Findlay Market is fun for everyone — and especially foodies. As you’re strolling by the absolutely gorgeous Italianate architecture, street performers serenade you, and the market’s aromas tempt you. When you explore OTR, you feel like you have one foot in the past and one in the present. https://www.urbanadventures.com/blog/neighbourhood-locals-guide-rhine-cincinnati/

You can stroll across the gorgeous Roebling Bridge any time of day or night and go from Covington to hip Cincinnati Ohio From bar hopping to dining to exploring Cincy’s great fountains and architecture, you will not be bored downtown. Smale Riverfront Park is an awesome place to hang out, catch a sunset on the Ohio River, or frolic like a kid around fountains, giant swings, and yes, a playground. The park is full of roses, hosts outdoor events, and even has a carousel. Best part, it’s free and easy to access.
