Sightseeing

Mesa Verde National Park is an American national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Montezuma County, Colorado. The park protects some of the best-preserved Ancestral Puebloan archaeological sites in the United States. https://www.nps.gov/meve/index.htm Just a little info I want to pass on... Although much of Mesa Verde National Park can be explored on your own, some cliff dwellings can only be visited by going on a ranger-guided tour. The cost and location for purchasing tickets vary, depending on the type of tour. I copied the following info from the Mesa Verde Website. https://www.nps.gov/meve/planyourvisit/tour_tickets I suggest you purchase your tickets in Durango and maybe go rafting while your there. https://mild2wildrafting.com/colorado-rafting/durango-rafting
