Offering an extensive list of creative drinks and an eclectic array of dishes, Cure is a dimly lit cocktail lounge that was inspired by the days when cocktails grew out of medicine and home remedies. Open since 2009, this former fire house mixes some of the most innovative drinks in the city and has collected prestigious accolades, including being named one of the 50 best bars in the world by Drinks International. This swanky cocktail lounge was a leader in reinventing Freret Street and now provides a space where locals and tourists alike can get together and socialize. You can try their carefully crafted, proprietary drinks like Midnight in a Perfect World – made with bourbon and house-made peach syrup – or indulge in their delicious stuffed pork skins. Cure’s twist on American cocktails is anything but ordinary. If the weather's nice, get a table in the outdoor courtyard.

Good Bird New Orleans is a rotisserie chicken, sandwich and salad shop that serves fast, healthy food using local, organic ingredients. Chef Leo wanted everything at Good Bird to revolve around sourcing the best possible ingredients. So he found an ideal chicken supplier in Springer Mountain Farms in Georgia, where their free-range birds are raised hormone- and antibiotic-free. Good Bird's ciabatta bread comes from the awesome and local Breads On Oak bakery. This commitment to high quality ingredients drives everything we do, and foodies all over town have responded by coming back to Good Bird again and again.

THE HUMBLE BAGEL STORY Humble Bagel was founded by Casey Mackintosh, from just outside of Washington D.C., and Tara Mikhail, a native of Long Island. Together, they envisioned an authentic, New York style bagel shop in the heart of Uptown New Orleans. Humble Bagel bakes authentic, hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagels fresh daily. We designed the kitchen to be open so that everybody can see the process of boiling and baking fresh bagels. Our bagels are made of five ingredients: Flour, Water, Steen’s Cane Syrup, Salt, and Yeast. Be sure to ask about our daily special! Please check out our mason jar recycling program! We fresh squeeze our orange juice daily, you can keep the mason jar or receive $1 off your next juice purchase if you return it. Whenever possible, local ingredients are used. We believe in New Orleans and we want to support it, including the use of Steen’s Cane Syrup and New Orleans Roast coffee. We love dogs! We have outdoor seating so be sure to bring your furry friends to have bagels with you! Our darlings: Buffy the pug and Knuckles the pit mix. Knuckles was rescued from Canine Connection on Tchoupitoulas. Buffy is the boss, of course.

Piccola Gelateria's Story Piccola Gelateria opened in 2016 as a dream-come-true for its owners, Ria and Ross Turnbull. Chef Ross has spent over 25 years as an Executive Chef and 35 years as a chef, after being trained and working in the best restaurants across Europe. He then traveled back and worked extensively in the U.S. with his wife, Ria, in the hospitality industry. Eventually, they settled here in New Orleans. They always envisioned having a warm, inviting, classic Italian-style gelato shop of their own. They wanted to create an atmosphere where people could meet, relax, and enjoy themselves, as they would in a friend's living room. Through the years, they have learned that quality products paired with genuine service is everything. Providing their clientele with the experience of their Italian "living room", their dreams became a reality in November 2016... and continue to be realized every day. Our Living Room At Piccola Gelateria, our goal is to produce the finest house-made artisan gelato, made according to the gelato artisan standards in Florence and Bologna, Italy. We utilize all natural ingredients including sourcing local milk and cream. In addition, we offer classic fresh-made french crepes, our own custom blended micro-roasted espresso, as well as made-to-order gelato and semi-freddo cakes. We offer seasonal specialties with all of our daily creations throughout the year.

Walk, run, or bike the 1.8 mile loop at Audubon Park. The park includes an exercise circuit, a lake that is home to local ducks, beautiful Spanish moss-covered oaks, 2 playgrounds, and benches which make nice spots to relax with a book. Plenty of room for picnicking as well. Located between St Charles Ave and Magazine St, across the street from Loyola University. A short 1.6 miles from our front door.
