If you're interested in gastronomy and good coffee, and your budget is not the thightest one (I am saying that this is not a cheap place!!), you should visit the one and only grand cafe in the Pest side. I used to work there, and it was a great experience. Awesome and polite staff, supercool interior, exceptional food and drinks. And weekend brunch! Oh, those Eggs Florentines...

It's not a top choice for tourists, but if you are interested in history and gastronomy and would love to spend some hours in a friendly and fun place, you should go there! And you can buy awesome vintage posters at the reception for very reasonable prices!

It is my favourite museum. Although it is kind of sad and thought-provoking, your Budapest visit cannot be complete without visiting this museum of our recent history.
