Food scene is very vibrant in Riga, some people say it's new nordic capital of modern cuisine. This you can find in high end restaurants like Vincents, Barents, restaurant "3". Restaurant Kolonade. Mūsu stāsti. has a great view to Latvian National opera, perfect menu, lunch menu is value for money. Restaurant "3 Pavāri" is a great show, nice atmosphere and experience in general. For traditional and down to earth go to Lido Krasta, self service, huge complex, extremely popular among locals, but you will always find a place and might be chance to dance downstairs. To get there from apartment you will need a taxi. I always recommend to download Bolt app(local Uber).
